1688-90 Fresco Sant'Ignazio, Rome The picture shows part of the decorative program by Andrea Pozzo which focused on the miracles of the founder of the Jesuit order. The frescoes were considered, both in Rome and beyond, an excellent example of the Baroque technique of creating the illusion of architectural depth in painting.
